In 1985, driven by a thirst for adventure similar to that of the early explorers, a group of siblings headed down the West Coast to San Diego, where they founded GSI Outdoors.
What began with a few pieces of blue enamelware and a basic understanding of camp gear soon transformed into a thriving company. Don, Ian, and Kathy Scott eventually moved the headquarters back to their childhood home in Spokane, Washington. Today, GSI Outdoors is available worldwide and is renowned for its exceptional quality, technical performance, and modern design—but above all, for the owners' humorous and fun-loving approach to the great outdoors.
